Church Life Africa:
Forming African Catholics
for the Global Church

Some give to the mission by going.
Others go by giving.

The Catholic Church in Africa is young, vibrant, and growing, alive with faith and hope for the future. Yet in many places, formation has not kept pace with this growth. Through Church Life Africa, the Augustine Institute partners with local clergy and lay leaders to provide faithful, Scripture-centered formation.

Together, we are equipping African Catholics to serve their communities with clarity and joy. What began as a pilot initiative has quickly grown into a movement now active across 40 dioceses in Nigeria, engaging thousands of Catholics—and with momentum spreading to other African countries.

“The Bible in a Year exposed me to depths of the
Word of God I had never encountered before.”

— Asika Emmanuel, Archdiocese of Abuja

Your Gift Forms Leaders and Strengthens Parishes

Your generosity supports theological and spiritual formation for African lay Catholics and clergy through:

• Scripture-based formation and study groups
• The Church Life Africa Summer Conference
• Parish access to faithful Catholic content
• Training and formation for emerging lay leaders
• Outreach to rural and non-English-speaking communities

By investing in formation today, you are helping the Church in Africa flourish—
strengthening parishes, forming leaders, and building up the Body of Christ for generations to come.

Become a Partner in Prayer:
Mission Circle Africa

Mission Circle Africa invites monthly givers to stand alongside Church Life Africa through prayer and ongoing support.

By giving monthly, you help provide steady formation for lay Catholics and clergy, ensuring that these programs can continue and grow throughout the year. You, too, can grow in your own prayer life with monthly group Rosaries, lectures and webinars, and a community of generosity for the glory of God.

“I have never seen a movement like this before—
so intentional, so alive, and
so faithful.”

Mr. Kenneth Alimba, Archdiocese of Abuja
